John Horne is a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Washington School of Fisheries.  His current research activities integrate three distinct but related areas: scale-dependent processes influencing aquatic organism distributions, predator-prey interactions, and the application of acoustics to aquatic ecology and resource management.  John is contributing his expertise in marine acoustics to the Understanding the Structure of Forage Fish Communities aspect of the Gulf of Alaska Project.
