We deployed a drifter today five miles offshore from Cape Ommaney, an area of particular interest due to high primary production and current dynamics. Day one of sampling on the Northwest Explorer has gone off without a hitch. We’re a little behind schedule, but should be in a good working groove by tomorrow.
