I want to extend a special thanks to Adam White who has stepped in to Captain the Northwest Explorer for this leg of the survey.  Adam has been first mate on the NW since 2006 and before that was the first mate on the F/V Intrepid for 6 years.  Fishing for Pollock and Pacific cod in the Bering Sea since 1990 has provided him with a wealth of experience that is matched by his energy and enthusiasm.  As the heavy metal rocks the wheelhouse, he pushes us onto the next station…and the next…and the next….
