University of Washington Joint Institute for the Study of Atmosphere & Ocean
I am an oceanographer at the Joint Institute for the Study of the Atmosphere and Ocean at the University of Washington. My main focus is on nutrient cycling in coastal ecosystems. Most of these efforts have been in the Gulf of Alaska, Bering Sea and the Arctic Ocean. This research includes underway and moored nutrient sensors, as well as shipboard analysis of oxygen and nutrients. I am contributing to the Controlling Mechanisms for Nutrients, Plankton and Larval Fishes aspect of the Gulf of Alaska Project.
