How do temperature and other physical ocean properties influence plankton abundance?

NPRB supports research that examines physical, chemical, and biological processes that drive primary and secondary production at the base of the food web.

This knowledge will help us better understand ecosystem dynamics and improve our ability to predict how climate change might impact the transfer of energy through the lower trophic levels.
